POSTCARDS - FROM HARLEY LAGOON, HARLEY PARK AND PELICAN FEEDING

Harley Park Lagoon is just a short stroll from Mango Cove Resort.  The Lagoon is protected from the Broadwater by a sandbar making it very safe for both adults and children who like swimming.  The white sandy beach backs onto Harley Park and a backdrop of shady trees makes an ideal sunbathing area. 

You can sit in Harley Park and enjoy a barbeque or picnic or a beautiful seafood lunch from one of the best seafood outlets on the Gold Coast.  The Park overlooks the lagoon and out over the broadwater.  Whether you want peace and tranquility or a place where the children can enjoy themselves you will find Harley Park the perfect location.     

Try to organise a lunchtime to be down by the lagoon to watch the pelicans being fed at 1.30 p.m.  This is a daily activity and well worth seeing.  The famous Charis seafood shop and restaurant put the fish they don't require to good use and the pelicans love it.  You will be suprised just how magnificent these birds are.

When you have finished exploring the beautiful areas close to Mango Cove Resort you may have a day or so left to visit the many famous attractions such as Sea World, Movie World, Wet'n'Wild and Dreamworld.
